Dr. Emily Whitecotton, Principal

Inquiry matters because it helps students truly understand what they are learning—not just memorize information. When we learn through inquiry, we ask questions, listen to one another, and build understanding together through real experiences.

As principal, I believe inquiry adds humanity to education. It creates classrooms where students feel heard, where different perspectives are valued, and where learning is something we experience together. My role is to make sure our teachers and students have the time, space, resources, and support they need to do this work well.

I work to build a strong school community by encouraging collaboration, meaningful conversations, and shared problem-solving among students, staff, and families. I am committed to creating a school where every member of our community feels welcome, valued, and empowered to contribute to our learning home.
